Description
Each season, during the development of our collections, we go through a testing process to tease out conceptual ideas, colours and production methods. With up to 20 separate cones needed to knit some of our intricate colourways, and a repertoire of almost 50 year's worth of sweater designs, we sometimes make versions of colours, or even styles that don't make it to final production. This creates a limited number of unique garments which we occasionally make available exclusively through our online store. A brand new yarn composition for Autumn/Winter 2025 is our own blend of superfine Merino and Linen. The linen serves to make the garment more airy and breathable and creates a beautifully nuanced colour-shading effect as the Linen strands catch the light differently to the Merino. It also creates a depth of feel and texture with little bursts of crispness scattering amongst the Merino softness. This is our Financial Times' "iconic" Inis Meáin Pub Jacket created in this exciting new yarn blend for the first time. Offering the same multitude of features including three pockets, side vents and a smart revere collar, but once more elevated by the unique texture and colour nuances of this exceptional Merino/Linen blend. Available in very limited quantity in Grey Marl, a distinctive mélange of medium and dark greys. Designed, made and hand-finished in our Aran Islands workshop.
